LIVING TRIBE is about connectedness, support and empowerment for families living and educating at home.
Held over three days, LIVING TRIBE will be run by experienced professional facilitators (who also happen to be home educating!) and will incorporate an intimate one day unschool/ homeschool seminar with a community camp. Numbers will be limited to facilitate an atmosphere of community connection and support. Everyone is welcome - from homeschooling families to natural learners or parents with very young children, wanting to connect with the home educating community.
This is an open event and we welcome all families to join us!
The LIVING TRIBE homeschool unschool camp festival will be an extension of traditional women's and men's circles, where communities come together to connect, share experiences and wisdom, and expand their own understanding of themselves and each other.
The focus of our LIVING TRIBE event will be to share information on;
- what is homeschooling, unschooling?
- what does a typical day of child-led learning look like?
- home educating through teen years
- and how to legally unschool
- the joys and triumphs of learning at home
- living sustainably on one income, while learning at home
- the difference between homeschooling and unschooling
- home educating children 'gifted' in certain areas
- home learning and special needs
In addition, there will be short workshops on dream boarding, intentionally setting out goals for your family's educational path and learning to recognise the ethics and values that are most important in shaping the direction of your home education philosophy.
We will have speakers, panels for questions and facilitate circle sessions throughout the day, so that all of our community have the chance to speak.
We will have a small community camp available to our tribe to stay for 4 nights, with tickets on sale shortly. Tickets will be limited and you can register your interest below
